- Experience in culinary program production and delivery
- Past roles providing high-quality culinary service
- Experience serving seniors or vulnerable populations
- Previous culinary service positions in healthcare, hospitality, or hotels
- Volunteer work or assignments with vulnerable groups
- Internships or programs enhancing culinary skills
- Passion for food and commitment to service
Job Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Combination of education and experience in culinary arts
- Current negative TB test
- Knowledgeable or quick learner of regulatory kitchen standards
- Willingness to work in healthcare or assisted living environment
- Ability to pass criminal record check
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work independently with little oversight
Job Duties
- Collaborate with culinarians to implement food and beverage programs
- Prepare meals that engage all five senses
- Ensure compliance with food safety and cleanliness standards
- Adapt meals to meet residents' dietary needs and preferences
- Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
- Train and mentor other kitchen staff in varied cooking techniques
- Engage with residents to understand and respond to their culinary needs
