Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Good physical stamina to stand and work in a kitchen environment
  • Ability to work weekends
  • Strong attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in senior living preferred
  • Experience with production methods, portion control and food handling safety required
  • Great organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and presentation of food product
  • Ability to work weekends

Job Duties

  • Prepare hot and cold menu items including working on the grill, sauté station, salad-bar and service line
  • Ensure proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods according to menu cycle and standardized recipes
  • Taste and prepare food to determine quality and palatability
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Support team members and communicate effectively
  • Assist with inventory control and food storage procedures
