Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year cooking experience in a relevant setting or equivalent culinary education
- Ability to work the scheduled shifts including every other weekend
- Availability to work a 0.7 FTE part-time schedule of 28 hours per week
- Commitment to uphold food safety and hygiene standards
Job Qualifications
- One year of professional cooking experience in a healthcare kitchen, restaurant, or catering with high-volume, high-quality food production, short order cooking or institutional baking
- Culinary education may substitute for one year of professional experience
- Ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food items according to healthcare kitchen standards
- Supply and distribute food to various serving lines and the café
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and work areas
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Support kitchen operations by performing other duties as assigned
