Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year cooking experience in a relevant setting or equivalent culinary education
  • Ability to work the scheduled shifts including every other weekend
  • Availability to work a 0.7 FTE part-time schedule of 28 hours per week
  • Commitment to uphold food safety and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • One year of professional cooking experience in a healthcare kitchen, restaurant, or catering with high-volume, high-quality food production, short order cooking or institutional baking
  • Culinary education may substitute for one year of professional experience
  • Ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to healthcare kitchen standards
  • Supply and distribute food to various serving lines and the café
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and work areas
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
  • Support kitchen operations by performing other duties as assigned
