Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
One year experience as a food handler
Must possess a current ServSafe (Food Handler) Certification or obtain within 30 days of employment
Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds
A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record

Job Duties

Assist in instructing cook helpers and work-based learning students in safe, hygienic methods of preparing and serving meals
Maintain kitchen equipment in orderly, workable condition
Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and sanitary at all times
Prepare foods for special center functions, visitors, and off-center assignments
Assist in cleaning assignments in the cafeteria
Manage stockroom commodities and recommend replenishment items
Promote and support positive customer service through the facility
