Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year of experience in food preparation and management
- Submission of supporting documents within two days of notification
- Possession of North Carolina Driver's License
- Birth certificate required
- Military DD-214 Member-4 if applicable
- Signed social security card
- Authorization for release of personal information, notarized
Job Qualifications

- Ability to prepare food from scratch and follow recipes
- Experience in supervising and directing others
- Understanding of dietary restrictions and special diets

- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food according to approved menus and recipes
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation according to procedures
- Prepare food in advance to ensure prompt service
- Direct less experienced cooks and inmate workers
- Serve food ensuring adequate portions
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and dining areas
- Prepare and serve special diet foods
- Perform inventory counts and receive supplies
- Assist in meal planning to reduce costs
