Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year commercial kitchen cooking experience
  • current Food Handlers card
  • ability to read and understand safety rules and procedures
  • effective oral communication skills
  • sound judgment and independent decision-making ability
  • demonstrate initiative and responsibility
  • self-motivated and teamwork orientation
  • attention to multiple details
  • flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • current Food Handlers card
  • ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals

Job Duties

  • Work and master one kitchen station
  • accept responsibility for personal decisions and actions
  • ensure superior standards of service meet guest and employee requirements
  • proactively exceed guest satisfaction and resolve challenges
  • follow daily cleaning schedule and checklist
  • prepare food using proper techniques including washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding
  • measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • bake, roast, broil, and steam various foods adjusting temperatures as needed
  • observe and test foods for quality
  • carve meats, portion food, add gravies and sauces, and garnish servings
  • perform other duties as assigned
