Job Requirements

  • Possession of an OR Food Handlers Card or equivalent
  • Obtain Food Protection Manager Certification within six months of hire
  • Two years of commercial cooking experience or a culinary arts certificate
  • Food Handlers Card or ServSafe certificate by hire date
  • Ability to work in environments with loud noise, heat, grease, and cold exposure
  • Adhere to sanitation and food safety standards
  • Demonstrate superior customer service skills
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen team and other staff
  • Flexibility to cover breaks and absences
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and kitchen safety

Job Qualifications

  • An OR Food Handlers Card or equivalent
  • Food Protection Manager Certification within six months of hire
  • Two years of experience as a cook in a commercial food service facility or possession of a culinary arts or Foods and Hospitality Service certificate from a certified college or technical school
  • Food Handlers Card or ServSafe certificate obtained by hire date
  • High school or culinary diplomas preferred
  • Two years of industry-related experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare existing and new recipes for patients and guests
  • Produce menu items and accommodate special dietary requests
  • Ensure proper conveyance and storage of supplies
  • Monitor and record food temperatures
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and work safety standards
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas
  • Cover co-workers during breaks and absences
  • Participate in special preparation and banquets as assigned
