Job Requirements
- An OR food handlers card or equivalent
- food protection manager certification within 6 months of hire
- two years experience as a cook in a commercial food service facility or possession of a certificate of completion in culinary arts and/or Foods and Hospitality Service from a certified community college or technical school
- food handlers card or ServSafe certificate obtained by hire date
- able to stand for long periods
- able to lift up to 50 pounds
- comfortable working in environments with exposure to loud noise, heat, grease, and cold
- able to follow sanitation and food safety guidelines per health department and OHSU policies
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare existing and new recipes for patients and guests
- production and service of menu items including special requests and individualized services
- conveyance of supplies and storage of foods following OHSU controls
- temperature monitoring and recording
- ensuring food and work safety compliance
- cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas
- covering co-workers for breaks and absences
- assisting in special preparation, banquets, and special assignments
