Job Requirements

  • Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum 1 year closely related cooking experience
  • Experience in high volume casual dining preferred
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to lift or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand for job functions
  • Frequent use of hands in water and chemical solutions
  • Frequent use of sharp knives and kitchen utensils
  • Ability to work in hot environments

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
  • Experience in high volume and casual dining preferred
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Comfortable communicating with customers and team members
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work standing for extended periods
  • Knowledge of soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry cooking methods

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
  • Season, cook, taste, carve, and serve soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items
  • Communicate ticket times and issues to manager on duty and servers
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and kitchen equipment
  • Practice food safety and sanitation following HACCP standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment and measure and mix ingredients
  • Wash, peel, cut, and shred fruits and vegetables
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperatures of products
