Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- Minimum 1 year closely related cooking experience
- Experience in high volume casual dining preferred
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and correspondence
- Ability to lift or move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, and stand for job functions
- Frequent use of hands in water and chemical solutions
- Frequent use of sharp knives and kitchen utensils
- Ability to work in hot environments
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
- Experience in high volume and casual dining preferred
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Comfortable communicating with customers and team members
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry cooking methods
Job Duties
- Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
- Season, cook, taste, carve, and serve soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items
- Communicate ticket times and issues to manager on duty and servers
- Clean and sanitize workstations and kitchen equipment
- Practice food safety and sanitation following HACCP standards
- Operate kitchen equipment and measure and mix ingredients
- Wash, peel, cut, and shred fruits and vegetables
- Stock, date, rotate, and check temperatures of products
