- An OR food handlers card or equivalent
- food protection manager certification within 6 months of hire
- two years of experience as a cook in a commercial food service facility or possession of a certificate of completion in culinary arts or foods and hospitality service from a certified community college or technical school
- food handlers card or servsafe certificate obtained by hire date

Job Duties
- Prepare existing and new recipes for patients and guests
- produce menu items and special requests
- use commercial kitchen equipment such as grills, steam kettles, choppers, blenders, and slicers
- clean kitchen equipment and work areas including mopping, sweeping, and scrubbing
- adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
- monitor and record food storage temperatures
- cover for co-workers during breaks and absences
- assist in special food preparations for banquets and special assignments
