Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- At least one year of closely related cooking experience
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist and stand for long periods
- Willingness to work in hot environments
- Ability to safely handle knives, utensils and hot plates
- Ability to frequently immerse hands in water and solutions
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of related cooking experience
- Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
- Experience in high volume casual dining environments preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and management
- Familiarity with soups, sauté, broiler, fry and pantry food preparation techniques
- Ability to follow recipes and menus accurately
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform kitchen duties for extended periods
Job Duties
- Follows recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items
- Communicates ticket times and potential issues with management and servers
- Cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment
- Practices excellent food safety and sanitation standards complying with HACCP
- Operates various kitchen equipment and prepares ingredients
- Stocks, dates, rotates, and checks temperature of product
- Provides high quality service to customers and associates
