Job Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel or resort environment with large event spaces
- 2-5 years catering or conference services management experience
- ability to handle complex multi-day events
- strong multitasking skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Job Qualifications
- Experience in hotel or resort with event space of at least 20,000 sq. ft.
- 2-5 years experience in catering manager, conference services manager, or event planning role
- ability to manage large events with 1000+ attendees
- skilled in negotiating complex event changes
- proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- sales experience to up-sell food, beverage, and meeting room services
Job Duties
- Service assigned groups and special events
- plan details of event agendas with clients
- coordinate room setups and menu designs
- handle bookings for one-day and social events
- manage large and complex multi-day events
- negotiate changes in event programs
- suggest menu enhancements and resort amenities to optimize revenue
