Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years banquet or event management experience
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service and safety standards
  • Customer-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in inventory and billing management

Job Duties

  • Hire, train, schedule, and review banquet staff
  • Check quality of work, monitor improvements and performance
  • Direct proper set-up and breakdown of all banquet functions
  • Ensure employee and guest safety in event set-up and arrangement
  • Coordinate with culinary team for meal counts and staff scheduling
  • Direct food and beverage service according to contracts
  • Conduct pre-function meetings with staff
  • Communicate with customers before and during events
  • Complete final billing and ensure payment processing
  • Record and report quarterly inventory of banquet supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness of banquet rooms and equipment
  • Oversee proper handling and storage of banquet equipment
  • Maintain communication with Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director
  • Participate in BEO and weekly staff meetings
  • Ensure staff compliance with uniform and grooming standards
  • Perform other assigned management duties
