Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar management role within a luxury hotel environment
- Strong working knowledge of banquet and catering food and beverage operations
- Proficiency with hospitality software including Opera PMS and Delphi FDC
- Ability to manage multiple events and client demands simultaneously
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical capability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand and remain active during long events
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Willingness to travel locally as needed
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in a management role in a 4-diamond property Catering Sales and Convention Services Manager position
- Operate with strong working knowledge of banquet and catering food and beverage operations, service standards, and policies
- Proficiency in computer systems and hospitality-related software
- Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret data in accordance with established procedures
- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage hotel leadership, colleagues, and guests
- Proven experience in hotel operations, catering sales, and conference or convention services
- Knowledge of menu development, event etiquette, and luxury guest service standards
- High level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism in all interactions
- Opera PMS/S&C Knowledge preferred
- Delphi FDC Knowledge preferred
- Canva Knowledge preferred
Job Duties
- Serve as the dedicated point of contact for assigned group and catering events following the sales turnover
- Build strong client relationships through proactive communication, personalized service, and attention to detail
- Conduct pre and post event meetings, tastings, site inspections, and walk-throughs to confirm vision, expectations, and execution details
- Create, review, and distribute comprehensive Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) that clearly reflect all event requirements, luxury service standards, and brand guidelines
- Ensure all events comply with contractual obligations, hotel policies, and brand standards
- Act as the on-property host and advocate for clients during events, ensuring a polished, seamless experience
- Oversee event execution with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach, addressing service needs discreetly and proactively
