Job Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 2-5 years experience in catering sales or conference/convention services, preferably as a manager in a luxury hotel property
- be willing and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays to meet 24-hour operation demands
- possess strong computer knowledge and technical aptitude to use Microsoft Office Suite and management systems fully
- ability to work with multiple high-level clients
- polish and expertise in hotel guest experience
- demonstrated ability to exceed expectations for high-end clientele
- enthusiasm to explore opportunities to raise service standards
- anticipate guest and client needs based on prior experience
- ensure guest satisfaction pre-planning and onsite
- execute all function aspects brilliantly
- communicate effectively with guests
- Delphi or equivalent training
- bachelor's degree in related specification preferred
- certified meeting planner preferred

Job Duties
- Prepare resumes for groups ten days prior to group arrival and review all details in weekly staff meetings
- adhere to the Catering and Conference Services Department’s standard operating procedures
- help establish and maintain hotel’s marketplace position at the city’s elite venue within social and corporate communities
- follow standard operation procedures for all staff to handle event planning steps per hotel protocol
- ensure all site inspections and client visits are successful by planning and communicating details to departments
- proactively achieve high Medallia scores through client rapport and onsite presence
- generate high revenue by managing contracted rooms, function space, and catered events
- conduct pre- and post-conference meetings with clients as agreed
- service all current and future client accounts according to hotel standards
- communicate banquet clients’ requests to relevant departments
- ensure banquet event orders are accurate and delivered 15 days prior to event
- adhere to selling policies by Director of Sales and Marketing
- remain available to hotel managers while on property
- be aware of departmental revenue and upsell opportunities
- participate in regular and operational meetings
- coordinate all conference aspects including food and beverage, timing, audiovisual, guest services, room allocation, amenities, transportation, check-in/check-out processes, billing, keys, entertainment, décor, and other event requirements as assigned by Director of Sales & Marketing
