Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in business administration or sales and marketing preferred
  • minimum 3 years banquet or meeting planner experience
  • ability to speak and hear English
  • close and distance vision
  • ability to sit frequently with some walking and standing
  • ability to lift/carry up to 10 lbs frequently
  • manual dexterity and fine motor skills
  • ability to work in normal office conditions in close proximity to others

Job Duties

  • act as onsite contact for all assigned groups
  • work with customers to produce Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and convention resumes
  • ensure all special arrangements including food, beverage, and audio visual requests are documented and approved
  • distribute BEOs and resumes to relevant departments promptly
  • maintain detailed files, notes, and trace systems to meet customer expectations
  • verify space requirements and meeting room setups with clients
  • ensure public space needed is maintained in good condition
  • confirm revisions in agendas and notify corresponding departments timely
  • finalize program and agenda with clients
  • check all scheduled functions one hour prior to start
  • review event sheets with departments to ensure quality and satisfaction
  • maintain positive guest and employee relations through prompt and courteous communication
  • perform other duties as assigned
