Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or sales and marketing preferred
  • Minimum 3 years banquet or meeting planner experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Familiarity with brand-specific property management systems
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management, and listening skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of customers and hotel management

Job Duties

  • Develop catering accounts including sold and former clients for assigned catering and room revenue goals
  • Act as onsite contact for all assigned groups and collaborate with customers to produce banquet event orders and convention resumes
  • Ensure all special arrangements for food and beverage, audio-visual, and other requests are accurately documented and authorized
  • Distribute banquet event orders and resumes to appropriate departments timely and resolve any questions
  • Maintain detailed files, notes, records, and trace systems to ensure events meet customer expectations
  • Verify space requirements and meeting room setups with clients and ensure public spaces are properly maintained
  • Confirm revisions in agendas and room blocks and notify corresponding departments in a timely manner
  • Finalize event programs and agendas with clients and perform checks before event start times
  • Review event sheets and coordinate with departments to ensure quality and satisfaction
  • Maintain positive guest and employee relations through prompt and courteous communication
  • Perform other duties as assigned
