Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in hotels
  • Experience in full-service hotel, convention services, catering, or event management preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations and event planning logistics
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel sales/event software
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Serve as the primary contact for clients after the booking is confirmed and throughout the entire planning process
  • Manage all aspects of event coordination including room setups, banquet arrangements, audiovisual requirements, food and beverage planning, and other event logistics
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Banquets, Culinary, Front Office, and Housekeeping departments to ensure flawless execution of events
  • Conduct pre-convention meetings and post-event debriefs to ensure expectations are met or exceeded
  • Create detailed event resumes, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and diagrams to communicate client needs to internal teams
  • Monitor and manage group room blocks, attrition, and cutoff dates
  • Upsell hotel services and amenities to increase overall event revenue
  • Handle last-minute changes or client requests with professionalism and efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of all client communications and event details in the hotel’s sales system
  • Ensure all billing is accurate and complete, and assist in resolving any billing discrepancies
  • Foster strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
  • Stay current on local market trends and competitor offerings
