Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED diploma
  • Minimum five years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • Minimum five years of heavy transport aircraft experience
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • Must be able to work flexible hours during day and night operations
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed
  • Ability to acquire and maintain United States Customs Clearance depending on location
  • Available for occasional overnight travel up to 10 percent
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the US
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED diploma
  • Five years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • Five years of experience in heavy transport aircraft
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Willingness to work flexible hours during day and night operations
  • Ability to work overtime when operational requirements arise
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • Ability to acquire and maintain United States Customs Clearance if required
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
  • Legal eligibility to work in the US
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance Management preferred
  • Two years of maintenance control experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and digital manuals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Previous leadership experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Uses real time aircraft monitoring applications to provide proactive resolution of in-service discrepancies
  • Central point of contact for front line crewmembers, business partners and all other aircraft maintenance related matters
  • Authority and responsibility for the supervision and coordination of all unscheduled maintenance functions accomplished using JetBlue procedures
  • Focal point within the System Operations Center for all aircraft maintenance related items and provides bidirectional communications to business unit members
  • Provides real time recovery support and technical advice for aircraft that are out of service
  • Maintains constant surveillance of overall line station activity
  • Oversees the application of the JetBlue deferred maintenance process and tracks repair requirements
  • Records all delays and cancellations including flight interruptions for cities without JetBlue staffed Aircraft Maintenance Technicians
  • Performs other duties as assigned
