Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • five years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • five years of experience in heavy transport aircraft
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate
  • available for occasional overnight travel
  • able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area badge
  • flexible to work day and night shifts
  • willing to work overtime as operationally required
  • may need United States Customs Clearance depending on location
  • must pass pre-employment drug test
  • legally eligible to work in the US
  • authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • five years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • five years of experience in heavy transport aircraft

  • bachelor's degree in aviation maintenance management preferred
  • two years of maintenance control experience preferred
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital manuals preferred
  • ability to work under pressure
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • strong work ethic
  • previous leadership experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Use real time aircraft monitoring applications to provide proactive resolution of in-service discrepancies
  • act as central point of contact for frontline crewmembers, business partners, and all aircraft maintenance related matters
  • supervise and coordinate all unscheduled maintenance functions in accordance with JetBlue procedures
  • serve as focal point within System Operations Center for aircraft maintenance items and communicate bidirectionally with business units
  • provide real time recovery support and technical advice for out of service aircraft, liaising with maintenance, AOG, engineering, dispatch, and flight
  • maintain constant surveillance of line station activity and support JetBlue line and contract maintenance partners
  • exercise authority over the application of deferred maintenance processes and track repair requirements
  • record all delays, cancellations, and flight interruptions for cities without staffed AMTs
  • perform other duties as assigned
