Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) diploma
  • five years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • five years of experience with heavy transport aircraft
  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • available for occasional overnight travel
  • able to acquire and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge
  • able to work flexible hours during day and night operation
  • willing to work overtime when operational requirement is needed
  • depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance
  • must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) diploma
  • five years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • five years of experience with heavy transport aircraft
  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • ability to acquire and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge
  • ability to work flexible hours including day and night operations
  • willingness to work overtime
  • ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital manuals

  • previous leadership experience

Job Duties

  • Use real time aircraft monitoring applications to provide proactive resolution of in-service discrepancies
  • serve as central point of contact for front line crewmembers and business partners on maintenance matters
  • supervise and coordinate all unscheduled maintenance functions according to JetBlue procedures
  • act as focal point within the System Operations Center for aircraft maintenance communications
  • provide real time recovery support and technical advice for out of service aircraft liaising with multiple departments
  • maintain constant surveillance of line station activity supporting JetBlue and contract maintenance partners
  • oversee application of deferred maintenance process and track repair requirements as per regulations
  • record all delays, cancellations and flight interruptions in non-JetBlue staffed cities
  • perform other duties as assigned
