Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) diploma
  • Five years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • Five years of experience in heavy transport aircraft
  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10 percent)
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge
  • Must be able to work flexible hours during day and night operations
  • Willing to work overtime as operationally required
  • May need to acquire and maintain United States Customs Clearance depending on location
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country of the position with no visa sponsorship

Job Qualifications

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance Management
  • Two years of maintenance control experience (heavy transport)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and digital manuals
  • Ability to stay focused and work under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Previous leadership experience

Job Duties

  • Use real time aircraft monitoring applications to provide proactive resolution of in-service discrepancies
  • Serve as central point of contact for front line crewmembers, business partners and all aircraft maintenance related matters
  • Supervise and coordinate all unscheduled maintenance functions per JetBlue procedures
  • Act as focal point within the System Operations Center for all aircraft maintenance related items and provide bidirectional communications
  • Provide real time recovery support and technical advice for out of service aircraft liaising with various departments
  • Maintain constant surveillance of overall line station maintenance activity supporting JetBlue and contract maintenance
  • Apply and oversee the JetBlue Airways deferred maintenance process and track repair requirements
