Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years in valve repair industry preferred
  • Basic knowledge of control valves, pneumatic safety systems, and rotary valves
  • Ability to read and interpret customer data specification sheets
  • Basic knowledge of industrial regulators and pneumatic positioners/controllers
  • Ability to use hand and pneumatic tools safely and confidently
  • Experience in self-directed field or shop work environment
  • Preferred experience with bending and running tubing
  • Ability to use standard measuring tools including torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, thread gauges
  • TWIC, OSHA Safety, Security Passport
  • Valid state issued driver's license

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of related industry experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Familiarity with control valves and pneumatic safety systems
  • Ability to read technical data sheets accurately
  • Experience with pneumatic positioners and digital controllers
  • Competency in basic machining and assembly techniques
  • Proficient with measuring and calibration tools
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards

Job Duties

  • Perform disassembly and assembly of control valves including reading and interpreting sales orders and customer data sheets
  • Safely disassemble various types of valves such as sliding stem, rotary ball, rotary butterfly, high performance rotary butterfly, bolted bonnet gate, globe, check, soft-seated ball, and pressure globe valves
  • Safely disassemble actuators including double acting pneumatic sliding stem piston, rotary piston, single acting sliding stem spring and diaphragm, single acting rotary spring and diaphragm actuators
  • Evaluate and organize parts and maintain material awareness including marking parts and chemical solvent cleaning
  • Inspect parts to ensure critical dimensions are met and complete quality control documentation
  • Perform machining processes such as drilling, pinning stems, and grinding
  • Assemble control valves including installation of stem packing, attachment of actuators, setting valve travel and bench set, tubing positioners and controllers
  • Test control valves using compressed air, water, and nitrogen according to code and manufacturer requirements
  • Tube up, calibrate and troubleshoot various pneumatic and digital positioners and controllers including Fisher 3582 series, 3610 series, DVC6200/DVC2000 positioners, Fisher C1P pressure controller, and Fisher 2500 pneumatic level controller
  • Perform disassembly and assembly of regulators and relief valves including direct and pilot operated regulators
  • Set and test regulators and relief valves to desired set points
  • Complete quality control sheets and prepare products for shipping including priming and painting
  • Maintain company standards and support colleagues
  • Travel as needed within the Gulf Coast region
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance
