Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in plant operations preferred
  • Ability to operate forklift, skid steer, and man lift
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Ability to perform some welding and cutting with oxygen and acetylene equipment preferred
  • Must have excellent work and safety record
  • Must understand lock-out procedures
  • Ability to work non-traditional and rotating shifts including nights
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions and physically demanding environments
  • Ability to climb heights and lift heavy objects repeatedly

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in plant operations preferred
  • Commercial driver license preferred
  • Ability to operate forklift, skid steer, and man lift
  • Basic math skills
  • Welding and cutting skills with oxygen and acetylene equipment a plus
  • Excellent work and safety record
  • Understanding of lock-out procedures
  • Computer skills preferred
  • Bilingual abilities a plus
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours

Job Duties

  • Check and maintain all equipment in work area
  • Maintain compressors, valves, gearboxes, air slides, blowers and related equipment
  • Load and weigh out cement tankers and utilize control room computers
  • Keep scales and unloading bays clean and free of debris
  • Unplug feeders and hoppers and clear sticking gates as necessary
  • Operate forklift, skid steer, and man lift safely
  • Direct inbound trucks to unloading bays and assist carriers as needed
  • Troubleshoot ticketing system and handle problems as they arise
  • Perform additional duties and special projects assigned
  • Adapt to changing situations and work conditions
  • Work a rotating schedule including night shifts
