Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience including 4 years in leadership role
  • Contracts management certification preferred
  • Program Management or relevant certification may be required
  • Prior leadership training and experience
  • Strong knowledge of contract management and regulations
  • Ability to lead process improvements and conduct training
  • Proficient with contract management software and business tools
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to handle complex contractual issues and develop solutions
  • Experience in international business and export compliance preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline with J.D.
  • Contracts management certification preferred
  • 8 or more years of related experience including 4 years in leadership or project lead roles
  • Prior training and experience in leadership concepts and management principles
  • In-depth knowledge of contract management processes and various contract types
  • Strong knowledge of regulations and laws applicable to contracts
  • Proficient in contract management concepts, tools, techniques, and risk management
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legal principles and high-risk terms
  • Ability to create strong partnerships with customers and suppliers
  • Detailed knowledge of product lines and marketplace
  • Demonstrated use of business concepts and accounting principles for project cost and budgetary planning
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present technical information with clarity

Job Duties

  • Manages and is accountable for the performance of assigned contracts and programs
  • Leads complex negotiations and ensures coordination within and across internal teams
  • Provides knowledge of division systems, products, and services and understanding of division goals and strategies in developing contracts and proposals
  • Leads team in performing analysis, interpretation, investigation, and research of complex contractual information
  • Advises team and leadership on contract interpretation and in developing solutions and formal recommendations
  • Evaluates the company’s contractual risk and establishes review processes to mitigate risk during contract performance
  • Oversees and approves task planning on multiple contracts and approves resource requirements
  • Establishes direction for functional team and direct reports and develops and mentors others
  • May execute the duties associated with Export Compliance and act as Division's Export Administrator
  • Investigates and resolves compliance issues and responds to inquiries from internal, customer, and government sources
  • Maintains contacts with domestic and foreign civilian and military representatives, customers, and government officials
  • May develop and manage international business development activities, supporting low-cost strategies and offset negotiations
  • Coordinates training and business meetings to facilitate contract review and policies awareness
