Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in a food service or cafeteria environment is a plus
  • ability to stand for long periods and lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • ability to work early morning shifts from 6:30 am to 1:30 pm
  • good communication skills
  • physical capability to perform cleaning and sanitation tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service or cafeteria work is preferred but not required
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying supplies
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve food items according to established menus and portion sizes
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, serving areas, and dining space
  • follow food safety guidelines and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies
  • provide friendly and professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors
  • work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth cafeteria operations
  • report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly
