Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in a food service or cafeteria environment is a plus
- ability to stand for long periods and lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- knowledge of food safety regulations
- ability to work early morning shifts from 6:30 am to 1:30 pm
- good communication skills
- physical capability to perform cleaning and sanitation tasks
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or cafeteria work is preferred but not required
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying supplies
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve food items according to established menus and portion sizes
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, serving areas, and dining space
- follow food safety guidelines and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies
- provide friendly and professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors
- work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth cafeteria operations
- report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly
