Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- ServSafe certification or commitment to obtain within first year of employment
- ability to follow food sanitation and safety guidelines
- capability to work Monday through Friday with occasional other days as needed
- ability to work standard shift hours from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- willingness to assist in training and collaborating with team members
- physical ability to perform food service duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma/GED
- ServSafe certificate or similar food safety course certificate, or pass ServSafe exam within the first year of employment
- previous food service or related experience preferred
Job Duties
- support the mission and vision of Concordia College and demonstrate the competencies as defined for this position
- count and divide food items such as salads, entrees, and baked goods for production and Contract Services customers
- follow food sanitation requirements as prescribed by county, state, and federal authorities
- obtain products from storage areas
- weigh or measure products according to recipes
- portion hot and cold food components
- package and label meals and products
- move products to proper storage or transportation area
- clean and maintain equipment and work areas
- assist in training and work with student employees, co-workers, and management in service to our customers
- other duties as assigned
