Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree or associate's degree with relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work varying schedules including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Ability to work at desk for prolonged periods
  • Willingness to learn about aviation fuel sales and related systems

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or associate's degree with relevant experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills in high-volume environments
  • Ability to navigate aviation-related taxes
  • Familiarity with FBO-facing software programs
  • Ability to learn quickly and solve problems creatively
  • Ability to negotiate and settle differences amicably
  • Ability to act as a team player
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends
  • Prior aviation industry experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Assist Avfuel's customers and internal staff with arranging fuel sales worldwide
  • Support Contract Fuel and other Avfuel business lines
  • Quote domestic and international fuel prices
  • Relay orders to all necessary parties
  • Maintain files and records of customer requests, changes, special rates and fees
  • Work weekdays 12 p.m. - 9 p.m. and provide coverage for one weekend day when needed
  • Learn detailed aspects of the aviation fuel sales business at airports worldwide
  • Communicate with customers, airports, and suppliers via email, telephone, and facsimile
  • Understand customer types and identify aircraft types
  • Use Avfuel pricing philosophies
  • Exercise strong problem-solving skills
  • Understand basic aviation taxes related to aircraft operators
  • Dispatch fueling operations
  • Maintain and update agreements, rates and fees
  • Set up new contract fuel agent locations
  • Fill in where needed
  • Demonstrate willingness to work hard and have fun
  • Work varying schedules including evenings and weekends
