Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a related degree program such as journalism or communications
- interested in pursuing a career in journalism or communications
- have a valid driver's license and access to transportation to get to the office and assignments
- ability to work in a hybrid environment with some remote work and on-site attendance
- willingness to travel up to 15% of the time
- reliable in communication with managers
- excitement to learn and be curious
Job Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a related degree program such as journalism or communications
- interested in pursuing a career in journalism or communications
- experience in working for a student or professional media outlet or relevant communication work
- experience using metrics to guide content decisions
- experience using social media or other methods to reach digital audiences
- understanding of planning and executing content ideas quickly
- excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Job Duties
- Produce multiple stories per week in a fast-paced environment
- create and deliver digital content focused on speed and accuracy
- produce photos and videos to enhance storytelling
- promote content through social media, website, and email newsletters
- collaborate with other parts of the operation including marketing
- adhere to editors' guidance and feedback
- maintain reliability in communication with managers
