Job Requirements
- Education: Associate degree in construction management, engineering or related field
- Minimum 5-10 years experience in non-residential construction and project management
- Preferred 10 years experience in restaurant or retail construction management within a franchise organization
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and cloud-based project tracking tools
- Working knowledge of building codes, ADA, federal and state requirements
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to navigate and work with regulatory agencies
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- Self-motivated and persistent attitude
- Ability to accurately report and manage project details
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree in construction management, engineering or related field
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5-10 years experience in general construction and project management
- 10 years experience in restaurant or retail construction management preferred
- proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and cloud-based project tracking tools
- detailed knowledge of budgeting, estimating and scheduling
- strong relationship and influencing skills
- working knowledge of building codes, ADA, federal and state requirements
- demonstrated management and leadership skills
Job Duties
- Direct and lead multiple construction projects within a designated territory
- provide project management, planning, budgeting, FF&E, execution, vendor selection and management, quality control, and resource management
- act as company liaison to franchisees, contractors and vendors, keeping them on schedule and accountable
- provide guidance and support to franchisees on project specific costs, LL Work Letter and LOI obligations
- complete timely and accurate risk assessments on construction timelines and communicate issues proactively
- direct management of all project schedules by tracking progress and coordinating with key stakeholder teams
- ensure quality control and adherence to brand specific design and construction standards
- participate in brands leadership team meetings and collaborate with operations, franchising and real estate
- participate in construction meetings to ensure accurate data input and milestone achievement
- handle special projects assigned by department leadership
