Job Requirements

  • Education: Associate degree in construction management, engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5-10 years experience in non-residential construction and project management
  • Preferred 10 years experience in restaurant or retail construction management within a franchise organization
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and cloud-based project tracking tools
  • Working knowledge of building codes, ADA, federal and state requirements
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to navigate and work with regulatory agencies
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Self-motivated and persistent attitude
  • Ability to accurately report and manage project details

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree in construction management, engineering or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5-10 years experience in general construction and project management
  • 10 years experience in restaurant or retail construction management preferred
  • proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and cloud-based project tracking tools
  • detailed knowledge of budgeting, estimating and scheduling
  • strong relationship and influencing skills
  • working knowledge of building codes, ADA, federal and state requirements
  • demonstrated management and leadership skills

Job Duties

  • Direct and lead multiple construction projects within a designated territory
  • provide project management, planning, budgeting, FF&E, execution, vendor selection and management, quality control, and resource management
  • act as company liaison to franchisees, contractors and vendors, keeping them on schedule and accountable
  • provide guidance and support to franchisees on project specific costs, LL Work Letter and LOI obligations
  • complete timely and accurate risk assessments on construction timelines and communicate issues proactively
  • direct management of all project schedules by tracking progress and coordinating with key stakeholder teams
  • ensure quality control and adherence to brand specific design and construction standards
  • participate in brands leadership team meetings and collaborate with operations, franchising and real estate
  • participate in construction meetings to ensure accurate data input and milestone achievement
  • handle special projects assigned by department leadership
