Job Requirements
- High school or technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in a related field
- minimum of 1-3 years of experience
- ability to work under general supervision and direction
- capability to perform daily construction inspections
- strong communication skills
- ability to work effectively as part of a team
- willingness to travel and work in field conditions
- proficiency with eConstruction and reporting tools

- Basic skills in math, drafting, and science
- ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity and innovation
- takes initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the team
- effectively communicates project issues with contractor, project team and clients
- high school or technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field or equivalent combination of education and construction experience

Job Duties
- Inspects and reviews projects during construction, monitoring conformance with plans, specifications, and other codes and regulations
- monitors the progress of construction activities, ensuring cost, schedule and quality standards are met
- generates daily inspector reports documenting construction activities, utilizing eConstruction processes, records and notifies supervisor regarding of any non-conforming work
- inspects and documents contractor's construction activities including maintenance of traffic, excavation, drainage systems, erosion/sediment/control, Hot Mix Asphalt and Concrete pavement, miscellaneous structures and calculates quantities and costs
- examines construction materials, checking to see if they meet specifications
- reviews plans, specifications, submittals, construction schedules, shop drawings and pay applications
- performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned
