Job Requirements
- Food service experience preferred
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or similar environment preferred
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office suite applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Superior customer service skills
- Ability to develop professional, cooperative working relationships
- Ability to motivate and lead teams
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to food service
- Must be available to work weekends on a rotating basis including alternating Saturdays and Sundays
- Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds
- Onsite work required
- Specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
- Mandatory reporter for elder abuse
Job Qualifications
- Food service experience preferred
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or similar environment preferred
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office suite applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Superior customer service skills including the identification of customer needs and follow-up to ensure those needs have been met
- Ability to develop professional, cooperative working relationships with participants, participants' family, other employees and volunteers
- Ability to motivate and lead teams
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to food service
Job Duties
- Responsible for the day-to-day food service at the site
- Act as a liaison with all food service vendors
- Oversee the collection of daily meal donations
- Provide accurate daily and weekly accounting of clients-served to the Site Manager
- Act as a concierge to seniors, guests and volunteers in the dining room
- Responsible for distributing the monthly menus
- Support outreach efforts to promote program services in the community
- Report any suspicious circumstances or suspected elder abuse to Adult Protective Services
- Ensure all appropriate policies and procedures are followed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
