Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
- at least two years of experience in a role requiring strong organizational, coordination, or customer service skills

- at least two years of experience in a role requiring strong organizational, coordination, or customer service skills
- experience in conference services, student unions, hospitality, or related fields
- ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate initiative
- strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solutions-oriented approach
- comprehensive understanding of event and conference management processes and systems
- proficiency in applying best practices to ensure smooth coordination of services
- strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
Job Duties
- Coordinate all aspects of conference and event operations including reservations, agendas, schematics, and logistical schedules for year-round and summer programming
- serve as the primary customer service representative for clients facilitating access to housing, dining, recreation, meeting space, parking, ID card services, and information resources
- effectively utilize event management and university software systems to track and deliver conference details
- draft and process facility use agreements, permits, sponsorship acknowledgments, and other contractual documents in alignment with UMKC Business Services policies and municipal requirements
- prepare and issue accurate invoices for internal and external clients
- maintain strong communication with campus partners and clients to ensure a positive, professional experience
