Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two to three years of sales experience in hotel or resort catering and conference services or a related field
  • prior direct supervisory experience in sales and catering teams
  • bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, sales, marketing, or equivalent
  • strong ability to prioritize and organize work effectively
  • excellent organizational and decision-making skills
  • assertive, outgoing, and self-motivated with a pleasant personality, capable of thriving in a team environment
  • proficient in computer use, with the ability to learn new programs quickly
  • exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • skilled in negotiation techniques
  • demonstrates a proactive 'can-do' attitude and leads by example
  • physical requirements include standing, walking for extended periods (4 to 5 hours), climbing stairs, reaching, bending, tasting, seeing, hearing, smelling, and tactile perception
  • may need to lift over 50 pounds occasionally
  • flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, holidays, and as per business demands

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Drive revenue growth for resort catering on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • manage inventory effectively using strategic selling guidelines, optimizing meeting space ratios, package rates, daily meeting packages, and food and beverage minimums
  • negotiate contracts, create proposals, secure bookings within assigned territories and set guidelines
  • handle inquiries and conduct site inspections
  • organize pre-event and post-event meetings with clients, guests, and catering teams
  • implement company programs to exceed revenue targets while ensuring guest satisfaction
  • maintain positive client relationships through clear and timely communication
