Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in banquet or catering services
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food and beverage trends
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts
  • Customer-focused mindset

Job Qualifications

  • Previous banquets or catering experience
  • Experience in rooms division is a plus
  • Strong phone and customer service skills
  • Excellent command of English
  • Additional language skills are a plus
  • Basic knowledge of audiovisual equipment and internet technology
  • Proficiency with cloud-based technology

Job Duties

  • Negotiate with clients through creative and attractive menu presentations and event proposals to maximize revenue and fulfill contractual responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Sales Department and Catering team to optimize function space utilization and collaborate with Reservations and Finance on event details
  • Finalize confirmed booking requirements while maximizing revenue through upselling and maintain effective communication with all departments
  • Supervise the execution of banquet events, review function spaces with banquet manager and head house attendant, ensure client satisfaction and opportunities for return stays
  • Ensure accuracy of banquet checks and provide bill reviews upon event completion
  • Serve as liaison between hotel and event planners, anticipating all elements of pre-arrival, onsite, departure, and billing
  • Provide expertise on event themes, audiovisual setups, and offsite experiences
