Job Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience in hospitality industry
- Prior experience in catering sales
- Experience in a hotel of similar size and quality
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi
- Ability to work under deadlines and time constraints
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must comply with attendance rules and be regularly available to work
Job Qualifications
- Prior hospitality experience with specific focus on catering sales
- Minimum of one year experience in the hospitality industry
- Experience at a hotel of similar size and quality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi
- Knowledge of sales techniques, revenue management, and peer motivation
- Understanding of hotel features, competitive landscape, and marketing plans
- Knowledge of hotel operations including safety programs, labor relations, business planning, and budget forecasting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style to varied audiences
Job Duties
- Understand monthly forecasting and annual budget process
- Raise meeting planner evaluation scores and ensure client satisfaction
- Optimize room rental charges
- Maintain long-term client relationships and participate in re-booking repeat business
- Actively engage in industry organizations such as NACE and MPI
- Perform hotel site inspections and client presentations
- Collaborate with banquet and culinary teams for innovative event setups and menus
- Coordinate and evaluate event operations and execution
- Generate and manage detailed banquet event orders
- Provide audio/visual equipment management and leverage as a profit center
- Use computer software including Delphi, Word, and Excel for event management
- Monitor group room blocks and produce detailed resumes for operation departments
- Work with external vendors to ensure event success
- Adhere to attendance and availability requirements
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned
