Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience in upscale hotel or related field
- Proficiency in hotel sales software and computer applications
- Knowledge of food and beverage laws and health regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks
- Availability to attend mandatory meetings and training
- Adherence to company grooming and appearance standards
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Job Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in an upscale or related field
- Or a 2-year college degree with at least 3 years related upscale hotel experience
- Proficient in Windows and hotel sales systems
- Experience with company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques and dietary restrictions
- Familiarity with health department and liquor laws
- Ability to work flexible and long hours
- Knowledge of all hotel departments
- Warm and friendly demeanor
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Self-confident, proactive, and able to prioritize and make effective decisions
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Must attend required meetings and trainings

Job Duties
- Perform job responsibilities in accordance with organizational standards
- Cultivate client partnerships and ensure all details are communicated and executed for a successful and enjoyable experience
- Regularly contact existing accounts based on tracing frequencies
- Actively sell guest rooms and food and beverage for small groups as assigned, ensuring monthly and quarterly goals are met
- Initiate and follow up on leads
- Use the property's computerized sales management system for managing business, including generating reports and blocking space
- Conduct professional site inspections with clients, highlighting key features
- Represent the hotel at client and industry functions
- Review sales contracts and validate key details with clients
- Monitor and enforce deadlines related to group room cut-offs, deposits, and function guarantees
- Ensure proper invoicing, billing, and payment procedures
- Create and distribute group resumes and communicate changes timely
- Recommend enhancements or upgrades to maximize revenue
- Participate in sales, operations, and BEO meetings
- Prepare proposals and contracts for prospective guests
- Obtain and validate rooming list details
- Assist in preparing monthly reports
- Operate within established sales expense budgets
- Develop knowledge of company sales policies and ensure adherence
- Maintain a passion and drive to outperform competition
- Attend all relevant meetings
- Follow standard operating procedures
- Perform any other assigned duties
