Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years’ experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • experience supporting AV and IT equipment and computer software systems preferred
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • flexible availability including long and weekend hours on occasion
  • ability to multitask
  • professional appearance consistent with AMA’s dress code

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED required
  • additional education preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • experience in supporting audio-visual and IT equipment and computer software systems preferred
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • familiarity with Apple iWorks suite preferred
  • flexible availability including long and weekend hours on occasion
  • proficient in multitasking
  • ability to portray a polished, professional image according to AMA’s dress code standards

Job Duties

  • support front-desk team coverage at the conference center
  • welcome guests including seminar participants, instructors, event hosts, and others in a friendly and service-oriented manner
  • manage seminar attendance administration and stock meeting materials
  • set up and break down conference and training rooms, including moving furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • distribute and collect supplies and meeting materials such as flipcharts, markers, paper, and pens
  • provide ad-hoc troubleshooting and assistance with technology and audio-visual support needs
  • maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked inventory for client beverage stations
  • set up, replenish, maintain, and break down catering buffets
  • perform other related tasks as assigned
