Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- two years experience in a hospital or customer service position
- knowledge of effective interpersonal and customer relations skills
- ability to remain calm with angry or distressed patients or visitors
- good organizational skills and basic computer knowledge
- good telephone etiquette and ability to be frequently interrupted

Job Duties
- assist administration in delivering a high level of customer service in the main lobby by providing relevant and timely information and assistance to patients, visitors and staff
- provide volunteer guidance and training in concierge duties
- maintain a safe and orderly lobby
- maintain and monitor comfort cart to assure refreshments are fresh and area is clean
- coordinate wheelchair availability, maintenance and storage
- assist administration and other departments with ad hoc duties and projects
- use general computer skills and input data
- adhere to ppi regulations when sorting, labeling and discarding or distributing patient belongings
- provide information and answer questions to resolve customer satisfaction issues
- respond to issues and requests promptly using good customer service standards
- answer and triage incoming telephone calls
- use service recovery tools appropriately
- round with purpose using aidet
- refer high-level complaints to patient relations
- update resource/referral services and provide information to internal and external customers
- keep printed resource material and telephone lists current and available
- model sharp's behavior standards and demonstrate positive initiative and teamwork
- manage up co-workers and volunteers for reward and recognition
- develop standardized practices with other concierge staff
- oversee volunteers ensuring knowledge of facility, escorting, problem solving and service recovery
- utilize warm handoff techniques as needed
