Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • ability to work with little supervision and maintain high performance and customer service
  • demonstrated effective communication skills in English verbally and in writing
  • meet state-related requirements if applicable
  • ability to work in a team setting

  • ability to keep business and operational information confidential
  • possess organizational skills and problem-solving ability
  • excellent customer service and public relations skills
  • ability to meet deadlines and work under time constraints while adhering to policies
  • ability to perform security checks and assist residents on foot for long distances or periods
  • experience with computer use and relevant software preferred
  • experience with multi-line telephone system
  • pass criminal record clearance, health screening, and TB clearance if required
  • maintain certifications such as First Aid if applicable

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • exceptional customer service and public relations skills
  • proficiency or experience with computer use and relevant software applications preferred
  • experience or ability to use a multi-line telephone system
  • ability to maintain confidentiality of business and operational information
  • ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
  • basic certifications such as First Aid may be required to comply with state regulations

Job Duties

  • Staff the reception desk continuously during assigned period
  • arrange coverage of reception desk during break and lunch periods
  • graciously greet all visitors and politely assist them as necessary
  • politely assist residents and guests or contact appropriate employee for assistance
  • maintain detailed resident and guest register, daily communication log entry, and complete daily checklist log
  • notify staff if resident is being taken out of the building and monitor front door for proper supervision, especially in memory care communities
  • maintain a clean and safe workspace, community entrance, lobby, and hydration station
  • prepare refreshments and pour coffee during mealtimes as needed
  • sort and direct mail to managers, residents, or forward to family
  • help organize guest meal counts and record coupons or payment from residents in independent living communities
  • promptly and courteously answer telephone calls, directing incoming communications
  • monitor fax machine and direct incoming communications
  • monitor and respond to resident call and exit alarm systems and handle emergency procedures
  • perform clerical duties as directed
  • notify Maintenance Department of community or resident maintenance requests and perform maintenance duties as necessary
  • maintain inventory control for office supplies and notify manager of needs
  • perform simple, routine maintenance of office equipment
  • represent the community professionally and courteously
  • perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
