Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents, extend a warm welcome and greeting, offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests, and ensure that the community safety protocols are in place
  • Contact the Director of Sales (DOS), Executive Director (ED), or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and ensure wait times are minimal
  • Greet potential candidates interested in learning more about Sunrise careers and direct candidates to apply online or capture their information in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to launch the recruitment process
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and resident calls within 2-3 rings with appropriate greeting and identification
  • Take complete messages and communicate them to the intended recipient
  • Offer community overview to callers, determine forwarding recipient, and notify caller accordingly
  • Manage appointments for residents and families
  • Send get well cards to residents hospitalized
  • Order Memory Flowers and send sympathy cards for residents who have passed away
  • Order flowers and name plates for new residents prior to move-in
  • Order guest meals for resident and family on move-in day
  • Create and maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
  • Support DOS with inquiry calls and lead tracking database entry
  • Perform administrative duties related to resident move-in process
  • Keep desk and entry area neat and organized
  • Monitor and maintain the Bistro area for refreshments, cleanliness, music, and restock snacks
  • Partner with community to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
  • Practice safety procedures and maintain emergency rosters
  • Champion Safe Leaving Program and respond to emergencies per policies
  • Maintain sign-in/sign-out logs for guests and residents
  • Update resident phone lists and rosters daily
  • Prepare and tally meal tickets for dining service
  • Process money according to business controls
  • Organize and distribute mail and newspapers
  • Post daily menu
  • Maintain resident credit forms
  • Assist with recruitment data entry and general administrative tasks
  • Monitor and order office supplies
  • Track and disperse team member paychecks
  • Participate as a committed team member working toward team goals
  • Demonstrate Team Member Credo and Principles of Service
  • Engage in team member engagement programs and training
  • Attend meetings and maintain compliance with required training
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
