Job Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and other software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good organizational and record keeping skills
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols and participate in training
  • Ability to interact warmly and professionally with residents, families, and team members
  • Must successfully complete a drug screening and meet any mandatory vaccination requirements as applicable
  • For those driving Sunrise vehicles, signing the appropriate Driver job description

Job Qualifications

  • High School degree or GED
  • Proven customer service experience and skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and Sunrise applications
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Accurate record-keeping abilities
  • Demonstrated good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Willingness to participate actively in team and training programs
  • Understanding and adherence to safety protocols
  • Experience working in senior living or hospitality environments is a plus.

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents, extending a warm welcome and greeting, offering and providing beverages, and ensuring community safety protocols are in place
  • Contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet prospective residents, families, or visitors and minimize wait times
  • Greet potential candidates interested in career opportunities and guide them to apply online or enter their information into the Applicant Tracking System
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and resident calls promptly with the appropriate greeting, take complete and accurate messages, and communicate messages to recipients
  • Manage appointments for residents and family members such as hairdresser and transportation
  • Maintain the Bistro area cleanliness, ensure stock of refreshments like coffee and snacks, manage music and overall atmosphere
  • Assist with sales and marketing by ordering flowers and nameplates for new residents, supporting initial inquiry calls, maintaining move-in packet inventory, and assisting with lead tracking
  • Perform administrative duties including updating resident lists, processing meal tickets and money, distributing mail and newspapers, ordering office supplies, and supporting recruitment data entry
  • Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements and promote risk management policies
  • Respond to emergencies according to company policies and maintain a high level of awareness of resident entry and exit
  • Participate actively in team engagement activities, training sessions, and meetings
  • Demonstrate commitment to the company’s Principles of Service and Team Member Credo
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain accurate records and demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
