Job Description

JRI Huntington At Symphony is a unique housing program dedicated to supporting persons living with HIV/AIDS through the oversight and management of 25 units of subsidized housing. This program not only provides a safe and supportive living environment but also integrates comprehensive services including 24-hour concierge service and access to specialized health medical case management provided by JRI Health. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • applicants should possess awareness and sensitivity towards issues surrounding AIDS, mental health, and substance use
  • experience in human services and crisis intervention
  • background in providing behavioral health services to LGBTQ+ youth of color and their allies
  • certification in CPR/First Aid or willingness to participate in training
  • knowledge of substance use disorders, HIV/STI, and related public health and social service topics
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • strong commitment to social justice and principles of cultural responsiveness
  • applicants from diverse backgrounds and bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
  • availability for evening and weekend work
  • ability to work independently in an unsupervised setting
  • relief staff must work at least one 8-hour shift per month
  • flexible schedule based on program needs
  • background and driving record checks will be performed

Job Duties

  • Monitor and direct visitors
  • maintain a visitor sign-in log
  • assist residents entering and leaving the building
  • coordinate emergency and non-emergency medical transportation for residents
  • provide wake-up calls for residents' medical appointments
  • accept and document deliveries of medications
  • monitor and document behaviors related to mental health and addiction symptoms
  • assist residents in maintaining tenancy through interventions
  • contact property manager or building superintendent regarding physical plant issues
  • respond to emergencies by contacting police, fire department, ambulance, and paging program staff
  • administer CPR or first aid if necessary
  • log and report all incidents
  • communicate closely with direct care staff
  • provide regular written reports to Program Director
  • attend all required meetings
