The community concierge serves as the essential first point of interaction for all visitors, residents, family members, and associates entering the community. This role belongs to a residential or senior living community environment where professionalism, hospitality, and courteousness are paramount to creating an excellent visitor and resident experience. Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school education
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Must possess an understanding and ability to demonstrate hospitality to all community visitors
  • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm at all times
  • Must possess basic computer usages and data entry skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts
  • Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens

Job Duties

  • Answers incoming calls in a warm and professional manner
  • Ensures all messages are relayed promptly to intended recipients
  • Maintains current visitor log
  • Greets visitors, residents, family members, and associates warmly both in person and by phone
  • Ensures reception areas are clean, hospitable, and inviting
  • Maintains compliance with concierge team and first impression captain standards
  • Creates and maintains resident face sheets using Yardi system
  • Inputs resident information and updates face sheets distributed to appropriate locations
  • Inputs resident assessment data and work orders into designated systems
  • Communicates environmental or hospitality issues to maintenance and management
  • Ensures "show ready" appearance of community entrance and reception areas
  • Assists directors with inquiries as needed
  • Supports administrative tasks including credit card summaries, petty cash, deposits, and accounts payable
  • Offers refreshments to visitors and ensures their comfort
  • Protects residents' rights to privacy during interactions
  • Coordinates resident appointments and transportation services
  • Collects and distributes residents' mail and packages
  • Prepares community brochure packets for reception
  • Maintains professionalism and minimal coworker interaction in lobby
  • Assists Executive Director and other departments with administrative duties
  • Follows company computer usage guidelines
  • Dresses professionally and maintains uniform standards
  • Maintains professional decorum and safety awareness at all times
  • Takes ownership of safety for self and residents
