Job Requirements

  • Two years of experience in customer service relations
  • One year of experience interpreting and explaining rules, regulations, and policies
  • Responsibility for handling unique or unusual situations
  • Friendly and outgoing demeanor
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to stay organized and prioritize competing tasks
  • Proficiency with computer hardware and software including MS Office
  • Ability to maintain a calm presence during conflicts and demonstrate conflict resolution skills
  • Experience cultivating positive working relationships
  • Available to work variable hours between 5:00am and 9:00pm including occasional weekends
  • Ability to work at multiple locations including Marquam Hill and South Waterfront

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Two years of experience in customer service relations
  • One year of experience interpreting and explaining policies and dealing with unique situations
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and computer technology
  • Ability to maintain composure and resolve conflicts professionally
  • Experience fostering collaborative working relationships
  • Experience in healthcare or high volume public contact environments preferred
  • Knowledge of EPIC or similar patient information software preferred
  • Understanding of process improvement methods preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintains and applies knowledge of facilities to assist patients and guests in navigation
  • Provides high quality customer service to external and internal customers
  • Assists public with explanations and clarifications of policies and procedures
  • Provides information about local accommodations, transportation, and leisure activities
  • Supports departments like Admitting, Central Check In, and Mortuary Services with operational tasks
  • Assists with patient mobility needs including providing wheelchairs and coordinating transportation
  • Maintains safety by following Public Safety policies, monitoring behavior, escalating issues, and ensuring a clean and safe environment
