Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous clerical or customer service experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
- Commitment to attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work flexible hours if required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar clerical or customer service role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and respect towards elderly residents and their families
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Basic computer skills including typing and correspondence preparation
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative
Job Duties
- Speak to and interact with residents, families, and visitors demonstrating empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect
- Answer the telephone courteously and with a welcoming attitude
- Assist in scheduling new hires and completing new hire paperwork
- Support the Business Office Manager as needed
- Receive and route incoming and outgoing mail
- Type correspondence as requested
- Respond promptly to residents' requests including phone calls from family members and visitors
- Greet families and visitors, ascertain the nature of their business, and introduce them to the appropriate department head
