Job Requirements

  • High School degree or GED
  • experience in customer service roles
  • proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office and other relevant software
  • ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • familiarity with safety protocols and procedures
  • willingness to engage with residents, families, and team members positively and professionally
  • ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • readiness to maintain compliance with all training requirements
  • capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • attention to detail in record keeping and administrative functions.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents, extend a warm welcome and greeting, offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests, ensure that the community safety protocols are in place
  • contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and ensure wait times are minimal
  • greet potential candidates interested in careers and direct them to apply online or capture their information into the Applicant Tracking System to launch recruitment
  • answer incoming calls and resident calls within two to three rings with the appropriate community greeting message and identification
  • take complete messages with pertinent information and communicate messages to the intended recipient
  • offer and provide a community overview to callers, determine who to forward the caller to, and notify them accordingly
  • manage appointments for residents and family members such as hairdresser and transportation
  • send get well cards to residents in hospital
  • order memory flower for residents who have passed away
  • send sympathy cards to families as needed
  • order flowers and name plates for new residents prior to move in
  • order guest meals for resident and family on move-in day
  • create and maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
  • support the Director of Sales by handling initial inquiry calls and encourage interest in Sunrise Senior Living
  • assist in Customer Relationship Management lead tracking database entry
  • keep desk and entry area neat and organized
  • check Bistro regularly for cleanliness and refreshments
  • maintain music playing throughout the day
  • ensure front desk coverage when stepping away
  • partner with community team to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • practice safety procedures including PPE, fire extinguishers, and Lockout Tagout procedures
  • maintain resident and team member rosters and schedules for emergencies
  • champion the Safe Leaving Program
  • respond to emergencies as per policy
  • maintain sign-in and sign-out records for guests and residents
  • update resident phone list, move-in and move-out registers, and guest logs
  • prepare and tally meal tickets and collect money accordingly
  • organize and distribute mail and newspapers
  • post daily menu
  • assist with recruitment data entry and administrative duties
  • monitor and order office supplies
  • track and disperse team member paychecks
  • participate actively in team goals and commitment
  • maintain compliance with required training
  • perform other duties as assigned.
