Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Experience with elderly or disabled individuals preferred
  • Ability to pass background checks
  • Ability to follow protocols and safety standards
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and assist residents safely
  • Flexibility to work as-needed shifts

Job Duties

  • Inspect vehicle to ensure safe operation before trips
  • Assist residents on and off the van
  • Drive van to assigned locations
  • Document care services in resident records
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition
  • Communicate resident needs to care staff
  • Participate in meetings and educational sessions
  • Follow safety and health standards including infection control
  • Report unsafe conditions and request assistance when needed
  • Promote resident independence and uphold resident rights
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Foster teamwork and professionalism
