Job Requirements
- Associate degree or two years of college
- Three to five years of progressively responsible work experience
- Two to five years of experience in healthcare operations preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and scheduling systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree or two years of college
- Three to five years of progressively responsible related experience
- Two to five years experience in hospital, HFMG, or private practice operations preferred
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of electronic medical record systems and appointment scheduling software such as Epic
Job Duties
- Provide warm patient greeting and closing using AIDET
- Schedule appointments in primary care and specialty services
- Perform service recovery adhering to Chief First Impressions Officers standards
- Demonstrate knowledge of insurance coverages and authorization processes
- Navigate HFHS resources, points of contact, and business unit policies
- Develop communication pathways between physicians, nursing staff, and patient families
- Facilitate barrier free access to appointments and services
- Maintain relationships with designated patients including scheduling, directions, and accommodations
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere for patients and families
- Communicate patient and physician feedback to relevant departments
- Maintain knowledge of communication lines between HFHS and physicians
- Assist in navigation and access to HFHS physicians, sites, and services
- Coordinate with internal and external entities regarding appointment scheduling
- Document activities in systems like Epic and CRM for analytics
- Adapt to a changing work environment and participate in on-call rotation
