Job Duties
- Greet and escort restaurant guests to their table based on the number of persons in their party and according to assigned stations
- Present menus to guests and describe menu items to them
- Circulate through restaurant and coordinate the activities of the restaurant personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service
- Take reservations and enter all information regarding guests' request for the meal
- Inform the serving team of all preferences, needs, and special requests from the guest prior to their reservation
- Pass along guest names to the serving team or Bar/Lounge team immediately after seating
- Understand and meet sequence of service requirements for the Host position
- Assign bus person and food server breaks
- Inspect and monitor cleanliness of room and compliance with safety and health code regulations
- Resolve customer complaints
- refer complaint to management as appropriate
- Maintain record of number of guests served during shift, employee absences, or problems with equipment or food service
- Any other duties as assigned by management
